- Compass Jade is a web research tool for founders who want to inspect public discussion before deciding what to validate. It starts with a workflow, audience, or product phrase, then returns matching discussion records from its connected sources. The point is to find a narrower next question, not to manufacture certainty.
- Which public sources are available today?
- The live product currently connects to Hacker News and GitHub. The interface may show other source categories, but Reddit, X, and Product Hunt are not currently connected search sources. A result set therefore represents only the connected sources and should never be described as a full-web or market-wide sample.
- What can I see before paying?
- A public search returns a preview of up to three source-obscured matching results. Preview availability is deliberately limited to two searches per anonymous visitor per day and five searches per signed-in account per day. The preview lets you judge whether the phrasing is worth investigating without exposing the complete source-linked report.
- What does a Validation Case include?
- A Validation Case unlocks one saved report for one query. The report keeps the returned source links, summarizes the strongest recurring friction, identifies alternative approaches mentioned in the evidence, proposes focused interview prompts, suggests a narrowly scoped MVP, and outlines one pricing conversation to test. It can also be downloaded as a print-ready PDF.

- The current private-launch offers are USD 9 for one Validation Case and USD 24 for a Founder Pack with three report credits. There is no subscription in the current model. A purchased credit is used when a saved report is generated from a query.
- Does a report prove people will pay for my idea?
- No. Public discussion can reveal frustration, repeated work, and requests for help. It does not prove market size, customer identity, willingness to pay, expected revenue, product-market fit, or investment quality. The proper next step is to read the cited sources, interview people close to the workflow, and test one specific promise.
- Why are source links important?
- A score without context is easy to overinterpret. Source links let you inspect who said what, the date, the surrounding conversation, and whether the problem is specific enough to matter. They also make it possible to reject weak signals instead of treating every keyword match as evidence.
- Who is the tool for?
- Compass Jade is for founders, product operators, independent builders, and research-minded teams deciding which workflow or audience deserves a small validation test. It is less useful when a team needs a statistically representative market survey, legal advice, investment advice, or evidence about a source that is not connected to the product.
